The Gastroenterology department provides comprehensive care for patients with upper and lower gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders.
Their work includes investigating and treating conditions such as abdominal pain, changes in bowel habit, indigestion, anaemia, Crohn's disease, colitis, hepatitis and other liver problems, as well as functional disorders of the bowel and cancers.
Around 7,000 wide-ranging endoscopy procedures are carried out annually.
All consultations are by appointment. Clinics are usually held on Friday afternoons but appointments can also be made for the early morning or in the evening.

I trained at St George's Hospital in London and completed my training and research in London, on the South Coast and in Scotland, where Iwas also a locum consultant .I was appointed to my consultant post on the Island in 2002 .
I am fully accredited in the management of gastroenterological conditions as well as those involving the liver and pancreas. I am also able to offer a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic service.
I would be pleased to accept referrals on any gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, nutritional or bariatric conditions.I endeavour to see the patient as quickly as possible at their convenience and organise all tests and review appointments in a timely fashion.
I enjoy sailing, skiing (albeit slowly) and running.I completed the London Marathon at a stately pace in 2005 .
